Medeco, partner for hospitals, nursing homes, pharmacies, home care and (pharmaceuticals) wholesalers. As a service provider Medeco substantially contributes to ensuring more efficient and higher quality of care at the lowest overall costs. Medeco makes constructive suggestions, acts proactive and is constantly looking for solutions for optimal care and a more efficient work environment. Medeco has operations in the Netherlands and Belgium and employs about 175 people.

Our history

"More than just a supplier. We show you the ropes."

We consider ourselves more of a service provider than purely a supplier. Of course we work hard to deliver all orders on time, to the right location and under the required conditions. That's important, but ultimately it's only the logistical side of the equation. Medeco is keen to familiarize itself with your organization to better assess how we can make our services more effective and efficient. The better we understand your needs and wishes, the better we can serve.

Medeco dates back to 1993, when two companies merged: De Econoom (since 1938) and Mecomfa (since 1966). And so the Econoom (solutions for waste flows) and Medispo (nursing products) brands became Medeco brands. In 1995, we became a subsidiary of the listed Mediq company, formerly the OPG Group. Medeco added its range of own brands in 1998: Curion (drainage incontinence materials), Jecton (syringes and needles) and Klinion (wound care materials). In 1999, the range was expanded to include Absorin (absorbent incontinence materials). Klinion Protection (personal protection), Klinion Personal Care (washing and skin care products) and Klinion Diabetes Care (total package for diabetes care) completed our package of strong proprietary brands in recent years.
