First e-learning module is a fact
 

Together with the Permanente-educatie.nl portal, Medeco has developed a practical e-learning module for healthcare professionals centred entirely on the Arcomed infusion pump. On 8 October, we proudly presented our first e-learning module during the NVZ Dutch Hospitals Association Blended Learning Conference.

 
Why e-learning?
Safety and patient comfort have become key issues in recent decades. This is partly down to positive developments in the electronic administering of medication. But there is still room for improvement. A fact recognized by many parties, including the IGZ Dutch Health Care Inspectorate. According to the IGZ, one major risk factor is untrained or poorly trained users. As specialist in the field of infusion technology, Medeco has therefore set up an e-learning module based on Arcomed infusion pumps.

Which subjects does it cover?
The e-learning module deals with how to use Arcomed infusion pumps. The different modules have been divided into volumetric and syringe pumps suitable for hospitals and other healthcare organizations. The components covered include:
  • Anatomy & physiology of the cardiovascular system
  • How to use the infusion pump
  • Complete test of knowledge, insight and skill

What is more, it is always available, allowing users to work on their skill in operating Arcomed infusion pumps in a way that is convenient to them.'
