Masterclass 'Safety in the OT'


Together with the Dutch Nurse Anesthetists Association (NVAM), the Medeco College organizes 'Safety in the OT' masterclasses.

The training course, specifically tailored to hospital-based anesthetist nursing staff, was held five times. The first training session took place on 1 October in restaurant 'Engels' in Rotterdam. The four remaining sessions will have been held in Drachten, Apeldoorn, Alkmaar and Bergen op Zoom. There is lots of interest for these masterclasses; with 80 registrations, the first was fully booked in just a week.

Safety in the OT

To work as effectively as possible as a healthcare professional, it is important to be aware which risks are associated with which procedures. The masterclass focuses on safety in the broadest sense of the word; correct medicine usage, possible complications when using medical aids and preventing medical failures.
 

Accreditation

The NVAM has accredited these masterclasses. This recognizes that the training promotes nursing expertize and ensures participants are keeping their skills and competences up to date.
